The 80th birthday celebration of Prof CT John kicked off yesterday with a Solemn Mass at the Corpus et Sanguis Christi Cathedral Port -Harcourt in thanksgiving to the Almighty. This was followed by a well-attended reception in honour of the celebrant at the Palacio Event centre Woji Road, PH where the erstwhile virtues of Prof. CT were extolled. Put simply, he has been a role model of a son, student, teacher, trainer, mentor, clinician, researcher and administrator amongst others. He has the record of being the longest serving Head of OBGYN department ever in the history of Nigeria – FIFTEEN years! His respect, value and attention to timeliness stood out, no wonder all attendedes at the ceremony went home with an Alarm clock as the souvenir.
